claremont diner CHEESECAKE

Our Cheesecake recipe was brought to us by Henry Fried, a former baker at the Claremont Diner in Verona/Montclair, New Jersey, who worked with us until just before he died in 1991. The Claremont was destroyed by fire in 1976, but the Cheesecake lives on, served at a few special places in New York and New Jersey. It's the same Cheesecake that is served today at New York's famous Carnegie Deli.

Our Cheesecake generally comes in two sizes: A large cake that easily serves 10-12 people; and single-serving Cheesecake Tartlettes, perfect for a sweet snack. An extra-large size is available by special order.
