We've been baking our award-winning Birdseed bread for more than 25 years, and it's consistently been one of our customers' favorites. A dark whole-grain whole wheat bread with walnuts, raisins and nine additional whole grains, Birdseed is great for breakfasts, hearty sandwiches or just snacking. Honey and raisins add sweetness, and the walnuts and nine whole grains (wheat, barley, corn, brown rice, rye, triticale, millet, oat, soy, and flax) give the loaf a nutty crunch. We finish with a coating of toasted sesame seeds which add flavor and beauty to this robust bread.
Pairs well with salted butter & jams, cold cuts, and cream cheese.
Each 20-ounce loaf is made with bread flour and whole-grain whole wheat flour milled in Yolo County from Sacramento Valley wheat, water, nine whole grains (wheat, barley, corn, brown rice, rye, triticale, millet, oat, soy and flax), raisins, walnuts, yeast, honey, canola oil, caramel, and salt. Dairy-free.
